Another day to ride!
Well, this is my ‘94 BMW K75s. I have had it for a number of years and have sat in the saddle for many miles. It is quickly approaching 90,000 miles and if I get another good ride in somewhere, I may actually get there this year. The bike’s mechanic, Jim, says that if I keep it til 100k, then I’m not allowed to sell.
Besides, the many riders I talk to who’ve had K75’s in the past say they’re really sorry they got rid of that model. It has been loads of fun, but wouldn’t a ‘03 K1200RS provide the same or more? Maybe, I wouldn’t be to boast about keeping up with my sportbike buddies if I was riding a bike that was a capable as theirs. It was a satisfying feeling while riding out west with a VFR750 and Triumph Sprint and being able to keep pace through most of the twisties.
Riding this summer has been on and off. I’ve been able to do a lot of commuting, but not many weekend trips. However, next weekend is open and I plan on spending both days doing some riding. I really need the therapy. At least one day will likely take me to Galena, a great little ride from my part of the world. My riding buddies hopefully will be riding a Hayabusa and CBR, so I’ll have my work cut out trying to keep up….Or lead a good pace.
More to come…
