This weekend was great fun. The girls both had parties on Saturday, Ellexi with her Girl Scout Troop and Nikala a reunion with her People to People delegation. I know that Nikala enjoyed visiting with the kids from her trip. There were alot a mixed emotions when the trip ended because they all had been together for 2 weeks. Everyone seemed to have a blast catching up and looking as each others scrap books.
On Sunday we decided to go to Huricane Harbor, the water park at Six Flags Great America. Well, the water park was packed even when getting there just as it opened. We enjoyed floating the Lazy River and the wave pool. Unfortunately, we did have to endure having our chairs surrounded by a fiarly noisy group of about 12 people (kids and adults). Nikala and Ellexi tried their hardest to make the lazy river anything but. Everytime I turned around, they were trying to drag me under some falling water. I got them back though by just being bigger. Sometimes it is good to be the parent.
As we were leaving, Deena called to let us know she was on her way home. We had a pleasant dinner and then read some more of Harry Potter before calling it a night.
