I updated the theme to use Connections-Reloaded by Ajay D’Souza who based this theme on Connections by Patricia Müller.
I have in turn made a few changes to the style, mostly just changing the image in the header and colors. I’d prefer not to have a long list of subscription items, so I removed that as well.
The girls had basketball games last night against Grayslake.

Me: No, I’m pretty sure she only has 2
(we check make sure we agree on number of team fouls)
Me: at the quarter, can we check the fouls?
GS: sure
(quarter ends, Warren ahead by plenty)
Me: (barely getting to other end of scorer’s table) Okay, I have 1 foul for #xy, 1 for #xz and 2 for #xx
Grayslake Coach (like anyone was even asking for his opinion) to GS: our book is the official book, no changes
GS: I don’t have a foul on #xy, but have 3 on #xx
GC: Oh yeah, she has 3, I’m keeping track of hers
Me: Let’s talk to official
GC: We have the official book, no changes
Me: Fine, I’m pretty sure your book is incorrect. It will not effect the outcome.
(Game ends, Warren wins by 10)
Warren Parent: Should you ask their coach if he’d like to see your book now?
Me: (laughing) Yes I should.
I have to remind myself that it is just a game sometimes. I enjoy helping out, but it’s coaches like this who really make you want to scream.

Editorial Note: The semi-final game was one of the worst officiated games we’ve seen this year. The refs allowed the game to get way too rough, even though they called the game the same for both sides. The Warren girls should have played through the bad officiating and won the game, they are capable of playing at that level. The Over The Edge game should be a lesson learner for the girls…they got out hustled on both ends of the court, especially at the beginning of the first half.
Their conference games are being tracked in a different post. Also, they have played in the Kickoff Classic and the Roundball Classic.
