I guess I’ve just had a run of bad luck. First, my trusty laptop had a hard drive failure. Fortunately, I had some advance warning and was able to back up the data. Then my big fancy desktop computer had it’s main hard drive go belly up. The data was being backed up to a drive that I have accidentally corrupted while trying to reinstall. Now that I have Vista running again, I’m working on recovering the disk. It has been an all day affair and I’m not done.
I now…I need some cheese to go with all of this whining.
Wow, Christmas has come and gone. Yesterday was really nice and relaxing. Other than cooking the huge turkey, we didn’t do much except play a few games and watch the girls enjoy their gifts. Ellexi received the CSI (Crime Scene Investigation) XBOX360 game and she and Nikala were busy solving cases well into the night.
Ellexi also received the wrong Tomb Raider game…thaannnkks Daaaddd! You’re right, I messed up! However we did get it exchanged before she woke up this morning. It was kind of cute, I went to get her out of bed and as usual there was no urgency on her part until….she asked "Did you get Tomb Raider exchanged?" Then you would have thought her bed was on fire.

The snow melted today. It was a fairly miserable day here in northern Illinois weather-wise. Besides the weather, I did manage to do a little Christmas shopping. And of course, I went to Ellexi’s feeder basketball game. The Warren Blue Devils defeated the Antioch Sequoits in a division game. The Blue Devils’ defense was too much for the lady Sequoits.
