Today, April 11, the weather has turned sour again.  The forecast is for temps to drop such that we could get snow tomorrow.  Bother!  The long range forecast doesn’t even have the mercury climbing about 60 degrees.

Nikala is doing terrific with her therapy.  I think today was a little tough because she tried to go to school for the whole day.  Unfortunately she needed to take a break.  She is also experimenting with her pain medication, trying to determine how much she needs to take and when it is needed.

On Sunday this weekend, Ellexi has her first spring basketball tournament for the Hoopers (www.northernillinoishoopers.com).  It is in Verona, WI (near Madison).

It is terrific that Nikala is doing so well after her ACL surgery last week.  She has been to 2 therapy sessions and managed to go to school today for most of her classes.  Deena allowed her to go for 3 periods, then take a break and return for her last 2 classes.  This allows Nik to get most of her work and also get some rest.

Her rehab sessions are still pretty tough, but she is making out fairly well.  Her least favorite exercise is bending her knee, but even that she does fantastically.
